How I Help Keep My Dogs Calm on Long Car Rides

If you travel with your dogs, you know that long car rides can sometimes be stressful. Between the excitement, new places, traffic, and spending hours in the car, it can be hard for some dogs to settle.

Exercise and a Potty Break Before You Leave

One thing I like to do before a long trip is give my dogs some exercise and let them go potty before we hit the road. Once we're in the car, I make sure they're comfortable and safely secured.

Make Pet Releaf Part of Your Travel Routine

I also like to use Pet Releaf as part of our travel routine. Their hemp-based products are designed to support calm and balance, which can be helpful when we're traveling or dealing with situations that may be a little more stressful.

I don't wait until my dogs are already stressed to start our routine. I like to prepare ahead of time so they have the best chance of relaxing once we're on the road.

Take Plenty of Breaks

I also make sure we take plenty of breaks on longer trips. Getting out to stretch, sniff around, drink some water, and take a potty break can make a big difference.

A Little Preparation Goes a Long Way

Every dog is different, but I've found that a little preparation goes a long way. Exercise, a comfortable setup, regular breaks, and Pet Releaf have become part of our routine for making long car rides easier and more enjoyable!
