Cannabidiol (CBD) is a cannabinoid found in the hemp plant. When it enters a mammal’s body, it activates a system called the Endocannabinoid System (ECS), triggering receptors from the nervous system to the digestive system that activate the self-healing process. In other words: the body is able to tell the brain exactly where it needs assistance.

Hemp is differentiated from marijuana by the level of THC (a cannabinoid that contains psychoactive properties) that it contains. Hemp-derived Cannabinoids contain a maximum of 0.3 percent THC, so animals will not get high from consumption of hemp derived Cannabidiol (CBD) products.
