What financial planning did you consider prior to getting your pet(s)?
Although I didn't make any plans, we really should've gotten pet insurance. We say "We sent Stryker to college" because his vet bills for his Valley Fever are well over $10,000 now. We just stopped counting because it was so much with the hospital visit. We had to tighten our belts, but God got us through.
Do you believe where you live influences your monthly pet costs?
No.
How did you decide what was the right food option for your pet(s)?
Stryker is super picky (you wouldn't think it by how chubby he is!!) but he won't eat any other dog food except Picky No More!
We give him 1 to 1 1/2 Edibites per night after his teeth brushing! It really helps him to accept his teeth being brushed because he LOVES the taste of the peanut butter chews. He would let me do almost anything for those chews!! They also help him settle down for sleep which is good for him and his pet parents!
How much food do you go through in a month?
Stryker goes through about 30 cups.

What would be your biggest tip to pet parents when it comes to budgeting?
We encourage EVERYONE to get pet insurance. What a horrible thing to have to choose between paying bills, eating, or saving the life of your beloved pet.
